Full scale tests of an IR Fourier spectral-radiometer for remote atmospheric sounding

This article describes full-scale tests of a prototype of a IR Fourier spectral-radiometer for remote atmospheric sounding. The article presents an experimental procedure, which would allow one to determine the efficiency of the device and its metrological characteristics. Additionally, the article presents results of tests with the use of test objects such as films made of different polymer compounds (polyester, Teflon, polyethylene, polystyrene) with known thickness, as well as vapor of ammonia (NH3) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) in gaseous phase. The spectra of test objects were registered against various background objects - a clear sky, a cloudy sky, a model of a black body with a known temperature.

Different methods of quality control of multicomponent mediums were reviewed in this article by the example of cow’s milk. Chemical, biological and instrumental methods were considered. Brief theoretical information, required equipment, achieved precision, advantages and disadvantages, ability of quantitative measurement of main components of the product were included. Particular attention was paid to optical – electronic methods as to the most promising for quality control both in laboratory and field conditions. Their application for determination of product’s components in various enterprises was considered. The development of new methods of analysis of the content of polydisperese mediums was planned on the basis of conducted survey.
77-30569/230289 Three-dimensional image registration algorithm for objects with passive stereoscopic system using multiresolution image processing.

This article contains a brief description of the reconstruction algorithm of three-dimensional image of an object by means of the stereoscopic system. A distinctive feature of this algorithm is a multiresolution image processing. The identification of the pixels is based on the correlation criterion with respect to the mask size of 11x11. Created stereo system allows to register three-dimensional images with the frame rate to 10 Hz for stereomate’s images size of 320x240 pixels. Such systems are demanded mostly in industry, automation, robotics and medicine. It’s possible to increase the speed of the system by creating a more efficient algorithm.
